The selected candidate will collaborate in the elaboration and characterization of multi-layer materials based on bioplastics, and in the testing of recyclability of bioplastics designed for specific applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Master\u2019s degree on Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or similar.<\/li><li>Knowledge of polymer processing technologies.<\/li><li>Knowledge of polymer characterization techniques such as FTIR, DSC and TGA.<\/li><li>English level B2 or higher, to participate and collaborate in meetings and diffusion of the results.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Duties<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Preparation and characterization of bioplastic monolayer films.<\/li><li>Optimization of multilayer films preparation methods.<\/li><li>Characterization of the monolayer and multilayer films.<\/li><li>Characterization of virgin and recycled materials.<\/li><li>Collaboration in diffusion of results, meetings and management tasks.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Employment conditions<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Specific formation in processing and characterization of plastics by experienced researchers.<\/li><li>Full-time job according to UPM regulations (37.5 h\/week)<\/li><li>Gross salary: 20000 \u20ac\/year.<\/li><li>Possibility of elaborating a PhD. thesis<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Selection process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested candidates should submit a motivation letter and a Curriculum Vitae (in English) to Prof. Joaqu\u00edn Mart\u00ednez Urreaga (<a href=\"mailto:joaquin.martinez@upm.es\">joaquin.martinez@upm.es<\/a>)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Non-doctorate researcher position at Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid Offer description The UPM based research group \u201cPolymers, Characterization and Applications (POLCA)\u201d is looking for a MSc.\/MEng. graduate to work as a researcher in the EU H2020 project \u201cBio-plastics Europe\u201d.
